Welcome Back Everyone!!! I am so excited to
see everyone at the pool back in training for our Championship
Run. Here are some Great Expectations
for 20010!
I expect that everyone will be on time to
every practice. On Time is 15 minutes
early, when the practice schedule says 7:00 that means the coaches
have planed their workouts so that everyone is in the pool at 6:50.
I expect that everyone will Give 100% Effort
100% of the Time. This goes for
technique as well as training. The best way to improve is to
concentrate on doing your strokes properly all the time. Stay focused on your strokes and your effort
at every practice. Practice “In The Moment”---stroke
for stroke lap for lap always aware of what needs to be done and
what the goal of the set is both for today and the end of the
season.
I expect that everyone will Race Every
Repeat of Every Practice. It was brought to my attention recently,
by a colleague, that most of the workouts we do at BA are exactly
the same workouts that the some of the great clubs in Florida do,
like Sarasota and Brandon. The one
difference is the swimmers on those clubs race each other all the
time in practice. Challenge each other
all the time, turns, technique, training…the more everyone
spends trying to push each other the better everyone will be on
race day!
